What the heck is wrong with our astronauts lately? I know you have a be a little crazy to strap several million tons of high explosive to your back, light a match and hope it’s pointed in the right direction, but it’s starting to look like NASA’s space traveller screening process is about as selective as the Gong Show. Case in point: This gem from ex-moon walker Dr. Edgar Mitchell, who surprised a talk show radio host recently with his proclamation that aliens are indeed out there and it’s all just a big cover up (presumably to sell X-files movie tickets). Between this guy, the diaper-wearing love triangle lady, and Buzz Aldrin’s recent public brain fart that raised a stink in the SF community, I’m really starting to wonder if NASA gave up using other primates because the monkeys were too smart to risk the dementia that obviously accompanies space travel?

On a side note, I really am not sure why aliens insist on giving every human they abduct a colonoscopy, but I have a theory: If you were going to tag an animal, wouldn’t you put the bug in the last place they’d look?
