This bit of eye candy from Uruguay was shot on budget of 300 bucks. The suits in Hollywood liked it so much they are going to give the director 30 million to finish it. That’s right, the brilliantly creative minds of movieland had to travel all the way to South America to come up with the groundbreakingly original idea of giant robots attacking the Earth.

An intriguing looking Spanish Film, Proxima has all the hallmarks of a mind-bending film in the tradition of Phillip K. Dick. You can immerse yourself in the trailers on the website of its director, or buy the DVD and see how far down the rabbit hole this one takes you. Either way, it’s worth a look to reassure yourself that there is, indeed, intelligent life out there…even if it doesn’t take the form you might expect.
